Feeling like it’s time to travel again. For 2024, I’m going to start a new challenge: visit all of the 88 state parks in Texas, spread out over a couple years. Will try to camp at many but not all of them. Blog posts and photos along the way. 🗺️

@manton That's a great goal — a sure way to see some great places you wouldn't otherwise make the time or effort to visit.
You might think about what you could collect or photograph or otherwise do to memorialize each visit. E.g., here in Washington State, the parks service commissioned a print for many of the state parks: https://washington.goingtocamp.com/store/all?departmentId=-32742.
@manton Looking forward to the random server tantrums that will happen at exactly the same time! Oh and also the pictures! 😋
@manton There’s a few duds in the bunch, but there’s a lot of really great ones. I’d have to count, but I imagine I’ve been to about 1/2 of them. Maybe only a 1/3.
@Agiletortoise I haven't counted either but my guess is I've only been to about a dozen. I'm going to start over so I have a complete list. Some I haven't been to in many years anyway.
@Agiletortoise Yeah, it seems like it has to be months in advance for some parks. Although I just looked at a few there's plenty of availability. Maybe too cold for camping right now? Much better than too hot in Texas.
@manton think I’ll try the same challenge with a twist: How many state parks around GA and FL can we camp at with our RV in a year. 🤔
@manton Wooooo!!! I’m a big fan of quests like that (in fact, it’s #GoQuesting1692)
