Writing a blog post draft in Micro.blog for Mac this morning and I guess I’m hitting ⌘-S pretty often. This saves it to the server and Micro.blog keeps a copy of each version in case you need to revert back. Here’s the web version where I happened to notice the saved count.

Screenshot of Micro.blog showing 22 versions count.

@manton Didn’t know you could do that; neat! Must be a good post. 👀

@manton While on the topic of the Mac App, any plans on bringing the on/off switcher to post to other connected accounts to the mac app as well? (like in the web or the iOS App)

@Heiji That should work in the latest version. View menu → Cross-posting.

@manton oh awesome, thank you! Was looking for the gear menu like in the iOS App👍

@Heiji Yeah, it's a little hidden on macOS. If you use it a lot, also helps to add a keyboard shortcut in System Settings for it.

@manton Do those versions ever clean up or are they on the servers until the end of time? 🤣

@lostinhaste They only stick around for 60 days, actually. The idea is you're unlikely to need them forever, but they last long enough to be useful if you accidentally delete an important paragraph or the entire post.

@manton Could you make View > Cross-posting a persistent setting?

So if you enable it once, the next time you open the New Post dialog, it’s still on (until you turn it off).

I’d like to see this for every new post, and it’s a bit tedious to have to switch it on for every post.
