@Chirag I agree, it's a very big deal. Your initial take on it sounds right to me, but I need more time to think it through. I'm worried about any effort to centralize podcasts or trap them in a single platform.
@manton Agree, not a fan of that either and Spotify simultaneously took over the content space and the hosting space. Gimlet was already doing exclusive shows with Spotify so I expect more of these to be churned out a la Netflix: 'Come for Homecoming, stay for the rest of podcasting.' Plus like you said, I expect there'll be a consequence or two we haven't envisioned yet.
