Since ActivityPub is now opt-out on Micro.blog does this mean we should think of the protocol as an assumed piece of web technology, in the same way we think of RSS and HTML and so on?

@SimonWoods i think WE ALL should think of it as essential as http(s), ftp, rss, html et al - BUT - of course outside of our ranks - it is clear that not everyone thinks that (say) even RSS is as essential as we might think - and actively block / don’t support.
