Continuing to tweak how we handle Mastodon servers that are down. A lot of instances come and go. Micro.blog is better now about retrying connections but also noticing when a server is probably not coming back.
@manton are there any plans to support moving followers on a Micro.blog ActivityPub account to a Mastodon instance? I know that Micro.blog doesn't display followers and I like that, but as you say instances come and go what are the options for users in the unlikely scenario 🤞🏽 where Micro.blog is the instance going and one wanted to carry on with the same Fediverse account elsewhere?
@kandr3s Yes, we're planning to add migration out as soon as we finish enabling ActivityPub for more users. (Otherwise when you migrate, your followers on Micro.blog can't be migrated.) In the meantime we do have export for posts, replies, who you're following, etc.
