@manton You had suggested the use of Micropub API to Glass for posting photos. They merged this request with the web/desktop version, which is now complete. Does this mean we can cross-post from our photoblog to Glass? Currently, I do the other way around manually (not ideal).

@pimoore the technical details can be hashed out by @manton and folks at Glass. I wish it just works for users like us. Glass might be worried people will start cross posting screenshots, etc.

@pratik @manton That’s an interesting point, it would probably be something that shouldn’t necessarily be automatic for this reason?

@jemostrom Yup. But yes, nothing that’s set up to do it automatically.

@pratik @jemostrom I actually like the fact it doesn’t do this automatically. It requires an intentionality to what gets syndicated over to Micro.blog, and I think the opposite would make sense when sending to Glass.

@pimoore I just wish it involved fewer clicks but think it’s for the best. While on IFTTT, I considered setting up to share my photos to also my “professional/full name” Twitter where most of my work people follow me. But then I remembered the rare but still countable times I’ve accidentally posted to my photoblog (also hosted on Micro.blog) what I wanted to post to this microblog 😱@jemostrom

@pratik @pimoore I'm not sure why they merged those requests together, because they are different things. To my knowledge there has been no change in Glass to allow any kind of API access.

@jemostrom If you weren't aware of it, we do have special support in Micro.blog for iOS to share from Glass to Micro.blog. This blog post has some details and a short video.
