Jack Ryan Reading Order: How to read Tom Clancy’s books?

I thought I would look into this series thinking it was a few books. Clearly, I was wrong.

@Gaby That is a lot more books than I was expecting too. Super-long series are a little daunting for me... I'm only a couple books into Wheel of Time for that reason.

@manton after seeing this list I am a little discouraged to even try to get into it.

@Gaby there are a few series like this, such as the Ben Hope books and Jack Reacher. They are more like ‘adventure of the week’ stories and don’t generally have an overarching story so you can just dip in and out to any stories you fancy. Like James Bond.

@AndyNicolaides Good point, I guess I just got overwhelmed by the list itself

@manton @gaby Despite their being daunting, if you still enjoy reading epic fantasy series like Wheel of Time, I can also highly recommend The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. Prepare yourself though, there are 10 volumes!

@pimoore @gaby I've heard that series mentioned a couple times... Adding to my "want to read" list so I don't forget about it.

@manton @gaby Since I’m here thinking about it, another great one that I’m currently reading is Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. She herself also has a previous book series, Bone Season, which I haven’t read yet but plan on checking out.

@Gaby I think I read up to rainbow six. You really don't need to read all of them unless you get the bug. And some are... slow going.
