@manton is there a way to cross post from Mastodon to Micro.blog? I like the Mastodon clients more but I want to keep a permanent record on a Micro.blog hosted site?

@Eggfreckles Not right now, but one thing I've considered lately is copying from RSS (to a hosted microblog, not just in the Micro.blog timeline) which could work for Mastodon and new services like Hey World.

@Eggfreckles @manton I’m about to be responsible for hosting moa.party and we’re looking at different cross posting options.

There’s a potential for a Masto -> Git -> JSON Feed -> Micro.blog path in the short term.

Mid term, I’d like to make it a Micropub gateway.

@manton yeah I’m excited by this pattern. It means that Twitter or Mastodon clients can be the source...but the person gets their own customized display / domain and ability to edit ;)

@manton I'd really like the option for RSS -> Hosted Micro.blog. I'm doing that with a few services via IFTTT but a built-in Micro.blog option would be fantastic. If you could include the ability to transfer any images linked in the feed into the Micro.blog hosted uploads (rather than just embedding external images in the post) it would be even better ☺️

@TheDimPause Thanks. Definitely copying images will be part of this if we do it.
