Alcohol free gin and tonic in a veg patch approximately five weeds down. So that’s five less I have to pull over this coming week. 🌱

A glass of clear beverage on a chipped wooden table with an overgrown garden in the background.

@jean This is Gordon’s but my favourite is Lyre’s. :-)

@BenSouthwood Thanks for recommendation. I use Lyre’s White Rum for Nojitos. I tried Lyre’s pink gin, which wasn’t quite what I wanted. I will give the classic a try. My curret go-to gin is Dhōs which is made here in Western Oregon.

@jean Ooh, haven’t heard of that brand before. The choice is improving all the time.

@BenSouthwood what’s it like? I have been exploring different non alcohol products, some a good, some are just awful

@richhowell The Gordon’s is one of the most widely available, but by no means the nicest. It’s OK, really. I find the companies who specialise in alcohol free products tend to be the best. There’s few 0% drinks that are indistinguishable from an alcoholic one, there’s something about the mouthfeel.

@BenSouthwood @richhowell It is hit or miss, for sure. And the misses are not cheap. But it’s so worth it when you find something good. For gin, Dhōs, Monday, Ritual, and Cleanco have all worked nicely in a G&T. I’m trying Lyre’s next, on Ben’s recommendation. Ritual Tequila has been great for margaritas.

@jean There’s a U.K. company called Clear Co. that also makes exclusively alcohol free products.
