@maique I’m on Team Moderna too and went through the same thing. I took some ibuprofen and wrapped myself in blankets to deal with the fever it gave me. Take it easy for a day and you’ll be back to normal as if by magic. Be well.

@mjdescy So far no temperature rise, just the aching arms and legs and a slight buzz in the head, like I had a mild beer or two. Drowsy.

@maique If this was your first shot, you will definitely want to plan on being out of commission for at least a day following your second shot. It helps knowing you’re not actually sick and that the vaccine is working, but you still feel pretty lousy. I was fine for my first, and on the couch for a day after my second (Pfizer). My wife was the same way (Moderna).

@gpittman Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. It's a little strange, because I keep having that exact thought: I know I'm not sick, but went downstairs to take out the trash, and coming up the stairs was exhausting. Decided to go back to bed, and fell asleep in a minute. I keep trying to do normal things, since I'm not sick, but it's strangely different. Right now I'm trying to select photos to edit (or typing this) and the arm is not willing to go along with it... 🤣

@maique You definitely feel sick, so the distinction isn’t really necessary. It just helped me psychologically. I had my shot on a Friday, and was of no use on Saturday. If I had received the shot midweek, I would not have been able to teach the next day. So don’t feel badly for resting. Your body thinks it needs it, so give in.

@maique Yep, the vaccine immune response can be a doozy, but that’s just your body absorbing it’s soon-to-be-superhero status. 👍🏻
