@manton Posted this already on my blog, but maybe it will be helpful to someone else, so I’m taking the liberty of posting it again. MacStories has a three-month trial promotion, maybe it helps someone decide.
@gpittman Setapp is great. Looks like the latest version of Ulysses is already available there, too.
@manton Awesome! It took me a minute to get it working on iPad. It’s quite different; you have to go through their Export option and it takes a few taps to get to the Publish option, although it’s really nice to see the different options for metadata.
Here is their tutorial for export, which helped me to work it out.
@gpittman What happens if you leave Setapp? Do you loose access to all of the apps that you have installed through Setapp?
@simonwoods I’ve suggested the dev team behund Ulysses to reconsider their export - publishing menus as I find them to be confusing. They said they would work on it. No date of release yet. @manton
@crossingthethreshold Yes, you would lose access to those apps. But the apps I use from Setapp would be a lot more expensive individually so, for now, I'm happy with it.
@gpittman I became aware of SetApp too late, sadly, as I had already purchased most of the apps that I’d use with the subscription😔
@maique SetApp is a nice idea but doesn't work for me. I don't want to pay for a bunch of apps if I'm only interested in 2 or 3.
@paulopinto I’d use more than that, but not a lot left when I don’t include the ones I bought.
@paulopinto The subscription for Setapp certainly costs a lot less than than the apps I use would cost if I purchased or subscribed to them individually. Ulysses, Bartender, CleanMyMac X, BetterTouchTool, CleanShot X, and MindNode are all high profile apps included in the Setapp subscription cost.
