Today’s OpenAI demo is a really good showcase of Apple Intelligence’s ChatGPT integration. It’s better than I remember it being from WWDC.

@manton You’re right. Some compelling stuff there. I didn’t know you could have it work with documents open on your Mac.
@manton Following that video, @viticci’s lead, and today’s apparent theme, I’ve added this shortcut for typing to Siri:
@manton Ah well, I'll remember to watch the video when Apple Intelligence is finally available for me, in about two years or so (like with Apple Pay, also two years after the introduction in the US). Provided of course that AI is still hot by then.
@renevanbelzen Apple Intelligence is available to us in the EU, but only on macOS. It starts rolling out to iPhone and iPad users in April. You're not missing out on much, though. 😊
@sod @renevanbelzen I switched macOS language to English to use apple intelligence. Had access to the features for like a month. Never used them once, reverted back to system language Italian.
@sod I got that. I listened to this week's Security Now! podcast with Steve Gibson, telling us chatGPT is still telling lies with confidence, when trying to improve macros in MASM. Steve had to look it up in the documentation. Even then, chatGPT put up an act of humanity, while it clearly isn't human and never will be. I suspect Apple Intelligence will be just as fake in being human, or even more so. Why would I want that kind of con? (rhetorical question, don't answer).
