A couple of weeks ago a friend we've known for ~35 years woke in the middle of the night to find water flowing through her Wellington bedroom. More than 1800 properties impacted by Wellington flooding | RNZ News.

@kimberlykg She absolutely loves that house and at 77 aims to live out the rest of her life there. Personally, I think with climate change and the position by a stream and on the coast it’s liable to flood again… Still… At least insurance has her covered.
