As I fix compatibility with Ghost, there are some surprises. For example, Ghost notes don’t appear to exist on the web. No url in ActivityPub, no permalink in the Ghost dashboard. Maybe a temporary limitation.
It’s always been a strength of Micro.blog that short and long posts are the same thing.
@manton I don’t get that. When I was looking for a new home I tried Ghost and the fact fedi posts aren’t available anywhere on the front-end is strange to me, that feels like a very simple thing to fix. I’m sure that will change with time; they’re making great progress.
@kevq @manton It is a bit strange. I still feel like the fediverse features are a bit bolted on. I do hope it changes so things are more interoperable.
@kevq Yeah, if I was a Ghost user, I’d want the notes available in the blog theme at least. Similar to how Micro.blog replies are available in themes even if they are stored a little differently than blog posts.
