Nearly 10 years ago I left the UK. A lot can happen in a decade. Keeping in touch with friends has been a challenge. These last couple of days have taught me to just call or write and reconnect. It’s left me with a warm feeling that intend to keep feeding.

@kaa cool. I was born in Nottingham and grew up in Derby. Dubai is very different to England. Which do you prefer? Do your family ever visit you?
@hollyhoneychurch Very very different. Family has come over via Dubai on the basis that it's a hub and people will come here. My view is that every place I've lived in was the perfect place for me at the time of my life. I wouldn't trade my Uni days in Nottingham for anything, in a similar way I'm enjoying life in Dubai with young children.
