So I can definitely say that apps like Flowstate actually work in making you writing things down. The quality of what is written is somewhat suspect, but as they say, ‘Write hot, edit cold’.
@kaa interesting thought behind the app. However I would never be able to finish a post with the no-break 5sec rule. May be to each his own, but I can never see myself enjoying this app.
@amit I think you might have misunderstood the main reason behind the app. It's not to finish something, or edit something or even refine something. It's meant to capture and expand on an idea that you don't know how to start. The pressure means you will keep writing. There will be garbage, but inside you'll suprise yourself as your brain is working out the next thing and the thing after that. I've started with 5/10 minute timers but it's like a certain amount of stress makes a muscle stronger...
