@kaa Thanks a lot. I had planned starting the question with «I’m neither a good artist or great artist but could I copy or steal …». I don't know much about css, but I liked your modifications. Seems comprehensive with regards to changing the theme, and easy to modify to get a somewhat different look.
@teisam the easiest way to customise things is through the colours and the fonts that are used. Both are extremely easy to change. The other thing to consider changing as well is the background images with the gradients. Try a flat colour or remove it entirely. The reason I’m ok with it is because I was in your shoes years ago and the best way to learn is to copy and modify or hack away. You’ll gain soo much from the experience.
@kaa Yup. Had run a small test on a server with altering the top and bottom graphics, then picking some crazy fonts from Google just to see how it changed. My guess is that picking the fonts is the thing that will take the longest time. Therefore, better to ask permission before using many many many hours with testing different font combos.
