Of all the holidays that could crush me, this was not the one I expected to succeed.

@kitt πŸ’™ (I saw someone, maybe @vasta? post this as an empathy heart, I liked the idea a heap). Holidays of any sort can be wicked strange -- they grant/curse us with the space or frame of mind to be open to things that elsewise we wouldn't notice.

@kitt Sorry. It's a hard one for a lot of people. My wife, who lost her mother to cancer 11 years ago, still finds it hard.

I hope you feel better soon.

@kitt @jw I'm glad to understand this blue heart a little better. I have used red hearts for practically everything, and wondered why people would use blue. (It's been 18 years since my mother passed away. The anniversary of her death and Mother's Day always get me down. πŸ’™)

@macgenie well hey, as I said: it's really just an organic change I've made with some friends and co-workers, but I'm happy to see it spread around! I tend to use πŸ’› as the friend heart, too. That's from another of my peeps! ☺️

P.S. πŸ’™
