Starting to make some slow progress with Google approving Micro.blog → YouTube uploads. They’ve approved the auth scopes, but they didn’t like my privacy policy. A couple edits today, hopefully will go through. 🤞

@manton you won’t have to deal with anyone’s approvals to upload to @stream.place. Could even run your own node for microblog

@tynanpurdy.com I mostly want YouTube for my users, not for me. I do need to dig more into stream.place, though.

@manton @manton what are you after? Connecting MB with YouTube so users can upload to YouTube through MB? Did you expand on that somewhere that I missed? That sounds interesting.

@jtr I only blogged about it a little when we announced the Micro.blog Studio plan. Basically yes, you can post a video to your blog and then Micro.blog automatically cross-posts it to YouTube.

@manton I’d be interested to hear more..! Does it mean though that you upload it to MB first and then it’s duplicates on YT? Using the studio plan? Or should I wait until you actually have it working 😁

@jtr YouTube is now working as of today! That’s right, you upload to Micro.blog, it puts the video on your blog with HTTP live streaming, then if YouTube is enabled it also copies the video to YouTube.
