You get an AI! You get an AI! Starting to enable automatic photo keywords and search for all paid customers, no longer requiring Micro.blog Premium. Check out the video on YouTube here, recorded a few months ago. Now available to everyone. (I reserve the right to tweak this if it bankrupts me.)

@manton imo one of those things AI is good and should be used for... By the way, any way to get it to work on photos uploaded from the iOS app?

@jtr It should work on uploads from iOS, unless maybe the uploads are HEIC and not JPEG... I'll check that. Currently it only works on JPEG but that would be an easy change.

@manton but how do you get those? I guess it's a workflow question. I want to post an image from iOS, and I want the AI description included inside the HTML alt tags in the post.

@manton Is there some way in the iOS app to see a photo’s alt-text? I’ve tried things like long presses and looked for buttons/menus, but maybe I’m missing something?

@the @jtr When you start a new post on iOS and choose a photo, tap the photo and it should show the generated alt text that you can copy. It takes a minute sometimes before it's ready. Should look like this screenshot. Also tapping an upload should give you a Get Info option. Lemme know if that's not showing up, might be a Premium vs. non-Premium bug.

@manton Sorry, I was unclear. I’ve been enjoying the AI-assist on adding my own alt-texts. What I was hoping was that there is some way to view the alt-text on someone else’s photo when viewing it in the iOS version of Micro.Blog.

@the Oh! Sorry. No, currently the alt text is strictly for accessibility… Thinking about expanding that so it’s viewable with a click, maybe.

@manton Yes, this seems to work! Thanks, I didn't realize I needed to press the little image icon.
