@manton so many services are now doing year end summaries. Micro.blog would be a rare one I’d actually like that from. Would be cool to see post count, words written, hyperlinks created, images uploaded and more. Thought I’d throw it out there. Plus could be good marketing for micro.blog.
@jthingelstad @jarrod There is a stats plug-in available now… Maybe it could be adapted to more year-end data like that. I don’t think it’s something we’ll do as a built-in feature if plug-ins could get us 99% of the way there.
@jthingelstad I thought about this but doing this would be against Micro.blog ethos of not focusing on metrics. We can definitely do that individually and I do too or as @manton suggested via a plugin. Although I don’t think @amit may be interested in developing for Micro.blog since he’s no longer using it.
@manton @jthingelstad @jarrod Hmmm. It should be possible to extend stats plugin to do year-end roundup. But I am on vacation this weekend onwards. So don't think I would be able to get to coding anytime soon. @pratik
@pratik I still have a soft corner for Micro.blog, doesn't matter I use it or not. So I am always open to work on any interesting idea. Don't know how to test though :)
