Overall the iPhone 16 Pro Max is amazing. A couple minor gripes:

• Camera button is a little hard to get used to because it’s not raised. Too easy to accidentally change the zoom.
• Apps will randomly crash to a black screen and spinner. I’ve never seen this on iOS before. Maybe 18.1 beta eating RAM?

@manton I’ve seen that crash on an iPhone 15 Pro Max running 18.1 beta.

@manton I’m on a 16 Pro Max and the 18.1 beta. I was in the 18.0 beta all summer with my 15 Pro Max, and then 18.1 on the 16 Pro Max for the past few weeks. The restarts have only been a problem for me on 18.1.

@manton I’ve been seeing the app crashes on iOS 18.1 PB 2 as well - guessing it’s just beta OS issues.

@manton Crashing in happening on my 15 Pro Max with 18.0. Not a new phone problem.

@manton I found that changing Camera Control’s “Light Press Force” to “Firmer” in Accessibility settings eliminated accidental touches for me. Might be worth trying.
