I tried writing a longer post, but it turned out way too long for the text editor on mobile 😆😅 I got to around 2000 characters when I couldn’t scroll down in @gluon to see the rest of what I wrote, the same issue I encountered with the Micro.blog companion app.
@chiawase Yeah, I've tried both apps and always end up back on the website. Especially on the iPad. Neither app is optimized for the iPad and the website is pretty nice for writing and reading. That said, I tend to do my writing in Apple's Notes app which I've come to love as my general do everything text app and I have a local copy. iA Writer is another I've used and it has publishing to Micro.blog built in. Works great for adding images to a post. Like many, one of my side hobbies is experimenting with blogging workflows, lol.
@chiawase I’m convinced this is a weird React Native thing both apps deal with. It’s pretty frustrating. I end up using iAWriter for long posts from mobile. Others use Ulysses or even Shortcuts. I do think Manton and Vincent are aware of the bug.
oh wait, going back to the drafts after saving it initially fixes it. 😆 +1 for @gluon for me at least, I'll just have to either write shorter long posts (🤔) or just deal with the bug for the meantime 😄
@mcg I'll check this out! I'm really just looking for a way to make it easier for me to post my thoughts, whether they're short or long 😆

On iA Writer, I've used that in the past, but I'm curious how you go about posting long posts to Micro.blog from mobile if you use that? Do you write your drafts in iA Writer then just copy paste once done? Or is there an integration as well?
@Denny Oh cool, iA Writer has a built-in integration! Looks like I'll be using it again 😆 Last time I used the app was when I still had an Android phone and was in college, when I was exploring blogging-on-the-go (but got too busy with school requirements to even bother) lol
