Semi-regular reminder that Radio Garden is pretty awesome way to listen to radio stations around the world
@tkoola what are your top three radio stations that you listen to?
Mine are:
@tkoola It really is awesome. It allowed me to keep my radio habits from France when I moved back to Portugal, and add some new habits listening to different countries. A radio comedian in Portugal talked about this radio in the North Pole, which is led by one single man, who lives in Longyearbyen, and overnight he had thousands of Portuguese listeners 😁
@Portufraise @maique I think they do have a report feature for missing info, but I have no idea how responsive the team is to requests...
@Portufraise my favourite weird station is Shirley & Spinoza Radio broadcasting unexplainably from within mainland China
@josephaleo I usually try to find a station with (regular) people speaking with hosts in a language I am learning, Russia has a lot of this, harder to find in Chinese language. I wouldn't do it in Finnish, but I can handle quaint complaints in language I barely understand 🙃. If I listen to something in English it usually in podcast form
