About five years ago I stopped using Overcast as my podcast player because it would not play more than one show at a time. I could set up a queue, but it would not play the queue. (Many users were complaining about this at the time.) I just downloaded it again to give it a try and… It will only play one show...

@ayjay I recently switched back to Apple Podcasts for this and a few other reasons. I want to like Overcast, though, because of all the marketing in Apple Podcasts. Are there any other good options?

@KyleEssary can you share a use case as to how you listen to more than one show at a time?

@KyleEssary there is Pocket Casts which I’ve used in the past. I don’t have the issue of Overcast only playing one episode and stopping though, there’s a setting in nitpicky details that looks related to it.

@ayjay I’ve used Downcast for many years now with no complaints. I just checked and it does have a playlist feature that I think would do what you’re wanting.

@ayjay I’m assuming you have “stop after each episode” unchecked in the nitpicks settings yes?

@jabel I had forgotten about the simplicity and build-quality of Downcast. I might try it for awhile.
