Private encrypted notes in Micro.blog present some challenges, especially for search. If you only have a handful of notes, itโ€™s no big deal, but I have over 2000 notes in Micro.blog now. So searching on the web, for example, has to load everything into the browser and decrypt it.

@manton for me the most valuable feature about them has been sharing a note on-blog that clearly says it is a private note: not everything is wanted to be a permanent page or on the site map. I shared a eulogy I gave for a funeral with the bereaved, but wanted both easily shared and non-public.

@manton well I learned something new today then. I thought notes were just private notes - I was not aware that they were sharable and created a private note within my blog ๐Ÿ˜‚
