@manton Much of the discussion of AI by the tech-focused press has left off mention of the expected climate impact. It's an unfortunate omission given the increase of carbon omissions. Of course many Apple oriented tech press also went out of their way to complain about the time Apple spent on addressing the environment in their Mother Nature bit. I would expect or hope that it will be a variable in Apple's plans for AI.

@Denny Yeah, Apple is trying to be carbon neutral by 2030 so they'll need server farms to be powered by renewal energy (which they already are). Not sure how they account for that when outsourcing servers to Microsoft or Google, though.
