@zorn Looks like the eye of the storm. It’s easy to think the storm is over at that point. I’ve been in the eye of a hurricane once. It was eerily calm and we could look up and see blue sky, and see the eye wall at the same time.
@jmreekes @zorn Hurricane Katrina passed over our family home in Miami when the whole family was down there. First time I’ve ever experienced that in all the hurricanes we weathered there. The post-eye side was awe-inspiring. I stood outside next to the house to check it out and within a minute I realized how stupid I was and rushed back indoors.
