@marmanold I think for me it is the fourth node being a computer or a router. Would the computer be an end-user device? In either case, it seems quite complex! I think making the switches managed would make it even more complex. Though I do not know the context in which this topology is being used.

@jmanes Oh… I see. The “or” is two different paths. Both start at router. Need to get from router to four Ethernet jacks in my office and then from there to a desk with multiple wired devices.

@marmanold Since you mentioned a switch, can you recommend a good one for household use for 2 Gig fiber? The one I bought never quite worked. Any prerequisites for the end point?
