Codex's 'Computer Use' is sloooow. There's a reason they're using gpt-5.3-spark in all the demos, I guess

@stroughtonsmith It feels like magic so I don’t have a sense of whether it’s slow or fast. My default is GPT-5.4 “high” /fast, overkill for computer use, so I switched to Spark “medium” and that is way faster.

That's probably why Sky never shipped; you really need a fast model to make this useful day to day

@stroughtonsmith Sky was even slower than this because it was running on Claude 😜

@stroughtonsmith indeed. I like OpenClawd too, but when I yesterday asked it to show my incoming packages based on my emails (a task which normally requires 1-2 minutes for me) it took Codex 15 minutes straight and the result wasn't even good (some were missing).

@stroughtonsmith The fact that you can have it run Computer Use tasks in the background while you do other things makes the slowness a bit more bearable

@stroughtonsmith Not speaking of the token usage. "Open the Music and play a song" took away 50% of my 5 hour limit.
