Starting up a new TestFlight beta for Micro.blog for iOS. This release will include support for photo collections. You can tap a photo to add it to a collection, or create a new collection in the app.

@manton Adding images to a collection and creating new collections worked well for me. Are deleting or editing the name of existing collections on the roadmap? Realizing both of those could break existing posts, naturally… Maybe allow delete or rename only if there are no images in the collection?

@jimmitchell Thanks for trying it. Deleting will be in the next beta. It is tricky because how they might be used, so maybe we’ll wait on rename until later. You can’t rename on the web currently either.

@manton On the iPad the iOS app only shows about three lines before it scrolls. This seem to happen when I create a new post using the screen keyboard (I haven’t tested with the external keyboard). I’m including a screenshot of a post that I started this way and then continued using the external keyboard. For some reason this reply, started it when I had the external keyboard connected, seem to handle more that three lines.

@manton It has looked like this for several versions.

@manton Successful deletion of collections in new TestFlight for me. A thought: perhaps a warning dialog when deleting collections that have images in them? The tap/swipe target area is kind of small. I had two collections, one without any images and one with several. It was easy to swipe the wrong one with my big ol’ thumb. A confirmation could have saved a mistake.

@jimmitchell Sorry, this was an oversight that I just fixed in today’s beta. It will prompt now.
