Love these eWorld photos posted by Stephen Hackett at 512 Pixels. Brings back a lot of memories. 1990s Apple software had so much personality, and this was the height of it.

@manton I ditched AOL as soon as eWorld came out. Man, I loved that service… Then I moved to Fidonet and my own BBS running on an old Mac SE under my desk (the OG Fediverse). Such memories!

@tchambers @manton I love this idea, but someone has grabbed it as of today. I explored eWorld before I had proper Internet access when I was a poor college student (working as a computer lab assistant) who spent all my money on a Power Mac 7100. I went through AOL trial codes like candy to get online & eWorld was whimsical & novel. I'd would love to see it be revived in any way…
