A little colder than I had hoped working in the shed office this morning for our Global Team meeting. The fireplace helped but probably should have been turned in when I woke up and not 2 min before the meeting started ๐Ÿ™„

@ericmwalk Hope you made it through un-frozen. Can I ask about your shed office? I desperately want/need one but cost is a major issue. Is that a home-built shed? Prefab? Whatโ€™s the story, inquiring minds and all that. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

@jessekelber it was a prefab shed as I wanted one that was of good size (24'x12') and wasn't sure I would have the time to create such a thing. I probably would be still building it at this point ๐Ÿ˜„. The nice thing is once I had a surface area prepped they just came in one afternoon and dropped it in place. I know some people have have just smaller ones and they say they work great as well. Some of the reason I wanted it bigger is I only have a 2 car garage and 3 kids with bikes. Doing the math I need a place to store them as well. So this provides enough room to have a area to do things with the desk and then a bike and other outdoor space area. Hope that helps let me know if you have any other questions!

@ericmwalk Gotcha, and thanks! In Seattle I can only go up to 120 sq ft without a permit, but since I don't have any garage...you see where this is going. right now I only have one bike, but am envisioning a commuter being added to the quiver, I'm getting a new Outback shortly and want a second set of wheels for it...Oh, and of course there's the office thing. sigh. I love that you haven't insulated, etc. Is that working out OK, other than the other morning, of course? And finally, for today, how do you internet from there?

@jessekelber I did pull a permit for this shed as it was large enough that I needed but also wanted it so it was done right. I will insulate it but will probably not do drywall and use either plywood or something else to cover it up. I don't need it to look nice like my house but want to be able to tack things to the wall as it still in some capacities needs to act as a shed ๐Ÿ˜. As for Internet, right now Wifi is doing the trick as I have a really strong signal. However, thanks to the suggestion from @burk last fall when I was getting the electrical trench dug I dropped an ethernet cable in as well to run back to the house. That is still a work in progress as it isn't connected to anything on either end yet or in the buildings ๐Ÿ˜„.

@ericmwalk Gotcha. Sounds like it will make quite a good, quiet, spot for some work. Fingers crossed I get there one dayโ€ฆthanks for the info!
