My focus is making Micro.blog a great blogging platform. But on the social side, I also love that it’s maybe the last social network that is ambivalent to metrics and engagement. Every other platform — even Mastodon — has algorithmic feeds or trends. That’s fine for them, but not what I want to do.

@manton I just really like the combination of blog and microblog (aka twitter-like features). I just to run my own Wordpress and used activitypub plugins… then I discovered micro.blog via Ulysses - editor. Tested micro.blog and I was sold… I do regret I completely missed the kickstarter as in those days I keep an eye “on everything” in kickerstarter.com. I would supported if I knew about it. But hey, I’m here now too ;-)

@vladcampos I actually left Micro.blog for much the same reasons. It felt like an echo chamber and I felt like I was constantly fighting the (lack of) social features.
@kev "Fighting" is an excellent way to put it. That's exactly how I feel. I visited you site and it's really cool. And fast! What platform you are currently using?
