Love seeing new photo blogs like this one at burk.photos, hosted on Micro.blog. Great way to own your photos, whether you cross-post to Instagram or don’t.

@mikehaynes I want to make it easier to share a theme. Is everything you're doing via custom CSS? If you're interested in letting other people use it, send an email to help and we could make it available.
@manton Yep, it would be fun if I could create a tab/section/something in micro.blog where I could collect photo blogs ... a bit like an instagram feed but without instagram. Mine is at snapz.mostrom.eu
@jameskoole each domain costs more money ... but
Blogs.yourname for posts Live.yourname for rapid comments Photos.yourname for photos
Etc
Only one domain needed.
@jameskoole 😂 of course you do ... needless to say - being on the ‘buy side’ of @thebusequation ... kinda makes me a sub domain man !
@manton possibly a stupid question but I don't see a way to follow burk.photos on micro.blog. There is an rss feed obviously that I can subscribe to in my rss reader, but in terms of micro.blog following I could only follow the whole stream of that user, not just his photos. correct?
@das\_aug Correct, since he has one username for both blogs, there's no way to filter posts to just a single blog.
@mikehaynes @manton That would be awesome! I am currently working on CSS'ing the hell out of a standard theme, but a gallery starting point would be great! 😃 👍
@manton Just started up my blog again as a new photographer! Micro.blog allows me to be a written blog, a photoblog, and a Podcast! Which I’m now doing all 3. Really nice to have a platform that gives me the creative tools and works with me not against me.
@manton Is there a way to remember timeline position on web app (since that is all I have on Android?)
@cdevroe The bad news is the web app doesn’t remember your timeline. The good news is that the iOS app doesn’t either so you’re not missing anything 😉
@EddieHinkle True enough. But Manton sort of understands timeline syncing since he invented it. :)
