What is up with Star Trek Admirals?
Most of the ones I’ve “met” (at least in TNG and DS9) aren’t worthy to even be captains.
@toddgrotenhuis So true. Admiral is synonymous with short-sighted and/or devious. Until now, because the old captains are admirals in 21st century New Trek, like Picard and Janeway. And Discovery's Admiral is a great character.
@jean my spouse and I were supposing it’s because we don’t see the “good” admirals because it’s not adding drama/tension. But yeah….
