I like having a cellular-capable iPad. I can use it anywhere in the city without thinking once about connectivity.
@mrbeefy I liked it for my 2015 iPad mini, but i wanted a more sensible pay-as-you-go data plan. Verizon would charge me $10/month just to share my data plan from my phone, but currently I'm not out and about much for that to be worthwhile. I'll probably get cellular capable on my next mini though, so it's an option.
@mrbeefy I have a google voice number and use my iPad as a phone. I had a custom leather pouch made for it and it has been terrifi, especially with aging eyes. The only thing I don't like is that I tend not to have it with me when I am around the house. If the Apple Watch would connect to anything but an iPhone, that might be my solution.
