I also have puppy-nephew Louie and dog-niece Zoë, who brighten my life with unadulterated enthusiasm when they greet me.
I do a lot of pet sitting for my neighbors: Poppy the chihuahua has a permanent place in my heart. The cats view me primarily as a treat dispenser.
