The PowerBook G3 Pismo has such bizarre design language
@macgenie A solid first laptop! I just got the one I had in high school going again after sitting in storage for 10+ years. I’ve just always found the combo of snow iBook and 90s PowerBook design elements to be a bit odd. It must be the only laptop with a clear brown keyboard 🙃
@decarbonization I had the Wallstreet model at work in... ‘99? I agree the see-through keys of the Pismo were a bit odd. This also brings back a memory of a friend walking to a local NYC store (Tekserve) and plopping down $3,500 for the Pismo. Good machine.
@bobschulties Yow! According to an inflation calculator that would be $5000+ in 2020 dollars. Computers have gotten quite a bit cheaper
