@gruber That's a very insightful take. I'm only an observer in this election (not in the US, nor a US citizen) but watching this from where I am has been interesting, if not a little frightening. It never occurred to me that ramming through Amy Coney Barrett would actually hurt Trump, but it make sense that this is one less reason to actually vote for him. This, along with his handling of the pandemic, is to me another indication of just how stupid Trump is, and that he surrounds himself with equally stupid people.

@gruber "It doesn’t serve Trump’s interest at all." Trump is actually really bad at doing what's in his best interest; he's self-serving, but he has no patience or foresight. Everything is about how his ego is doing now.

@gruber Fully agree with this. They would have gotten so many to the polls on this one thing. They probably could have pushed it even more if they had hearings but held the vote until post-election. Would have distracted everyone from COVID.
