Finally had my second booster Covid jab. Hurt a bit going in but feels good being better protected. 😎

@Miraz @pimoore Good stuff 👍 My parents got theirs last week; I’d be interested in a second booster, but they’re only allowing over-30s to get it here, and I’m three months short… 🙈 I’m kind of hoping that by the time I’m finally eligible, the Omicron-specific booster is available. (But I also feel like it’s a good idea to not wait, for those who are eligible today!)

@pimoore Yeah, all of that is true. I had a similar chat with my parents. I figure if an Omicron-specific booster really is that much of an improvement, then of course they’ll open up eligibility even to people who had the current type of booster recently-ish. And a booster now improves protection now.

@pratik @jayeless And last I checked, the list of preexisting health conditions that make you eligible for a second booster is much shorter than the list of conditions that makes you at high risk of severe illness/complications.

@supremus Yeah, that’s what I meant. I mean, I rather let people who have more serious conditions ahead of me but at this point, aren’t the vaccines expiring soon?
