Almost got whacked by a psycho in a car on my way to the shops today because he decided to floor it down an ultra-quiet residential street with parked cars cramming both sides of the road. I saw it in the distance before I crossed but didn’t realise he was about to violently accelerate,... www.jayeless.net

@jayeless Ahhhh! Scary experience. Glad you’re unharmed (physically, at least).

@Miraz Very scary! Even a few hours later I’m feeling kind of shaky. But yeah, physically, not a scratch (thankfully).

@jemostrom @maique @pimoore Thanks guys. And yeah, it’s really infuriating how there are just no consequences for such dangerous driving nearly ever 😔 Some people should absolutely not be allowed to drive.

@jayeless That’s awful. It’s disgraceful seeing how reckless some people drive in residential areas.

@jayeless Complete maniac!! Glad you’re unharmed. Scary part is, that driver will just carry on behaving like that, and will eventually harm someone.

@lmika @Portufraise Thank you. The guy did actually pull over shortly after he nearly hit me, and I was thinking, “Oh great, he’s about to run out and start a fight…” but he didn’t. When I told Viv that, he speculated that the guy had pulled over to try to get his own head in order and hopefully rein in his dangerous behaviour… seems a bit optimistic to me but we can live in hope
