@Omrrc @jayeless I am sure this is not a Puerto Rican thing only, but yeah, I used to hear it a lot in my childhood. Specially when adults wanted you to be quiet or it can also be another way of saying “if you got nothing nice to say about something, be silent” , or at least that was the interpretation a lot of us had. It is interesting how a quote can mean different things to different people.

@Gaby That’s interesting! I was told the ‘if you’ve got nothing nice to say’ line when I was younger but can’t remember who from!
