Seems like we got some breaking news out of Bloomberg’s reporting on the Apple internal meeting. Apple had tried to update Siri with both the existing commands plus LLM-based functionality as a hybrid system, but it didn’t work well. The new Siri will be unified under a single new architecture.
@manton They weren’t as specific, but Craig was using those same talking points in post-WWDC interviews.

You can do inline links on BlueSky now?
@invalidname.me Not directly in the Bluesky app, but I post to my blog and then Micro.blog can translate the links to Bluesky.
Yeah, the protocol/lexicon (data format) allows this, but the official app doesn’t support it in the compose dialog.
Skeetdeck app does, for example.
@manton @jarrod the description was something like “We had a phase 1 that was sort of like a half step, then a phase 2 that was a more complete reimagining that we worked on in parallel. We had phase 1 working and though we could make it good enough faster than we could ship phase 2, but it turns out phase 1 was a dead end that never got good enough so now we’re just fully invested in the phase 2.”
