@jarrod I've spent $10 on the API over the past year - using your shortcut almost every day as well as lots of proofreading a general knowledge searches. I have the APO plugged into a bunch of apps

@jarrod really interesting. I pay 20 for Claude (Anthropic), but I really like their interface and ux. For me it's worth the ~19 a month that I would otherwise save… But I say this without ever having tried to work with the API for my personal usage.

@thosch Thanks for reading! The first is OpenAI’s limit. They wouldn’t let me pay over $1000 even if I wanted to. The second is a limit I set. I don’t want to pay over $10 per month.

@fabio I’m tempted to try Claude. I hear good things.

@jarrod I like Anthropic because it feels to me more of a lab and OpenAI more of a business. I can’t say though if it’s real or just excellent marketing from Anthropic. Claude is excellent, incredible comprehension skills but I can’t compare it to ChatGPT because honestly almost never used it.
