@dvdlite I checked there too, but Micro.blog wasn’t listed. But I did just get a prompt from the app. Not sure what instigated it.
@jarrod weird, it’s there for me. iOS 18.1 and micro.blog version 3.3.1. Maybe it doesn’t show up until the first time it tries a notification?
@dvdlite That’s my guess. But I feel like toggling on that setting in Micro.blog should initiate the prompt either way. Otherwise you’re set on a goose chase until you happen to receive a mention.
@jarrod @dvdlite Also, for what it's worth, you can't send a notification to a device that didn't opt-in — so there will never be an "initial" notification. I can try and see what I can do here with asking for permission. It depends on the circumstances, because iOS will also not trigger the permission prompt if you've previously declined...
@vincent It very well could be a beta bug, and I did get a prompt in the end and was able to enable notifications. Still haven’t actually received one for a mention yet, but I just toggled the setting here in the Micro.blog app to see if that gets things going again. Thanks for looking into it!
@jarrod OK, let me know if it persists... I am happy to look into it. The changes to the app we made should have fixed the push notification toggle... hopefully you will get this one?
@jarrod testing a mention for you as I had this problem for a while but flipping the toggle in MB app seemed to shake out the dust
@adamprocter @vincent No dice, unfortunately. I didn't get these. I'll try a restart and reinstalling the app. (Again, could be a beta 18.1 issue!)
@jarrod I didn’t even see this reply mind and I am not on the beta … so maybe my notifications are back to broke too
