It’s not my primary method of reading my timeline, but going through it via RSS instead of the app has advantages beyond knowing that you’ve seen everything and it won’t lose your place, such as long-press for link previews!
@jarrod Side note: the option to automatically enable Do Not Distrub when doing a screen recording is great, but couldn’t Apple do some smarts so that part of the animation isn’t saved to the video? They know I’ve enabled that feature because I don’t want distractive things poping on screen!
@jarrod Long-pressing for link previews (or at least sharing actions) is a must-have for me when reading my timeline.
@jarrod Related: This has meant I’ve been using the web version of Micro.blog — ostensibly the canonical version — to reply to a lot of posts and, let me tell you, the lack of autocorrect support in MB text boxes on mobile Safari is very frustrasting. Please help, @manton, you’re my only hope!
Ah-ha! There were multiple spelling mistakes that almost slipped through because, well, ☝️. But it’s a good thing I (usually) proofread. Edit: Ugh, one escaped. cannonical.
@devondundee I wish I could say the same, but some things like that simply aren’t available in the first or third party apps for Micro.blog. But its flexibility (and some ingenuity from community members) make it wonderfully extensible. (Thanks again @sod!)
