@uncertainquark I'm on the Premium plan. The main benefit for me is the Bookmarks feature, which may not be as relevant for you. I've posted a couple of short (less than one minute) videos and they've been quick to load without issues

@uncertainquark I have the Premium plan as it gives me the flexibility to do what I want. I've uploaded a few brief videos and found that mainly straightforward — check with @manton which formats are allowed. I haven't uploaded anything recently but seem to recall having an issue at some point with formats. As for how they play on slowish connections — much like any other video I think.

@Miraz @uncertainquark Micro.blog should convert to a good format now, so the main limitation is how big the video is. File uploads have to be 50 MB or less. So it's best for short videos. For examples, you can see this category on my blog for some videos that I've posted.

@uncertainquark I usually use the iOS and macOS apps, which try to scale down the videos before upload. It’s fine to embed the videos elsewhere too.

@uncertainquark it’s a good read it later service. Although that’s available elsewhere, I like consolidating it into micro.blog. I also use the highlighting feature to pull out the main points

@uncertainquark I do have premium but haven’t had the chance yet to use much of its perks. Pretty soon though there will be a reason and I am going to use the podcasting feature and probably will also upload a video or two. I can’t say that I have seen many videos being posted this far on mb. Don’t know what that means in terms of usability. I’ll probably write about it when I have started to use the features for real.

P. S.: So are you staying with mb after all? Or only for your blogging about blogging about the moon project?

@uncertainquark @jafish @manton I like the idea of aggregating highlights into a single post. Would also be great to have more ways of adding Bookmarks, such as through the API.

@mroutley @uncertainquark @jafish It is possible to add bookmarks via the API, but looks like we don't have documentation for it... It's part of Micropub. I'll add an explanation to the help site.

@manton thanks! Any thoughts about my question of optionally including more than one quote/highlight per post? That seems like a micro.blog interface change rather than an API thing.

@jafish I agree, it's a good idea to support multiple highlights more easily.
