A quarter in, I had to stop reading Deep Work after another chapter trying to convince me why deep work is necessary. It was getting too repetitive. Sure, I understand the importance of deep work. Can we move on to the ways to be away from the distractions?

@amit It’s easy. Just buy a cabin in the woods.

@amit I enjoyed the book, but see what you mean. Maybe jump right to his next book, Digital Minimalism ?

@canion Yep, that suggestiong came out a lot many times. Maybe that's the solution for all the problems :)

@jack Problem, I guess, is I read Digital Minimalism first and then picked this up. That book changed my perspective towards so many things. It was brilliant. This, not so much.

Problem with this book, for me, is that the concept of Deep Work is not very generic. It differs with profession, with role, with experience.

@jack not picked Digital Minimalism, might put that on my list next. Although I think I need to read atomic habits again this year to cement things a little

@amit That's true. I see a lot of people nodding about Deep Work who probably don't really need a lot of Deep Work time :).
