Any suggestions on a good category name for just longer posts other than “Longer Posts”? I could say “Essays” but that is a little pretentious for me. “Words by the Bucket” is too long, “Posts with Titles” is too techie, “Bloviation” hm, closer but requires dictionary.

@bix @bradenslen I'm currently trying out Essays and Micro, but I agree Essays is not quite right for a lot of posts.

@bradenslen In honor of your blog's name, what about "Rambles" or some variation of that? Or in the Macro/Micro model, "Rambles" and "Micro Rambles?"

@bradenslen I use "articles" for my long form and posts for blog posts...If it goes three levels deep...article...if over 500 words and not three levels...article that needs revising

@bradenslen I agree with @dgreene196; “Ramblings” or some variation thereof is a great fit for your particular blog, given the domain name.

More generally, “Thoughts”/“Big Thoughts”/“Long Thoughts” and “Micro Thoughts”/“Quick Thoughts”/“Tiny Thoughts”/“Brief Thoughts”/“Thoughts in Brief” are another option, as are things like “Writings” and “Quips”, all depending on one’s tonal preference. // @manton

(I think, for whatever reason, “micro-something” feels more natural to many of us than “long-something”, so it might be better to leave the title for the longer ones unmodified and modify the micro ones, if using the same word for part of both names.)

@bradenslen Make up a word... 'CornBugleits'! Refuse to define your new word for 90 days. Then watch them react when you announce it means 'Cornucopia shaped 'bugle' snacks holding lots of 'leits' and a few longer posts'. You have 180 days to figure out what a 'leit' is. Spend your time wisely!!!

@jNash LOL! It would get visitors to click on that menu option. :-) Plus the world needs more leits.
